A major challenge in almost all change management programmes is for departments to become more collaborative and less competitive with each other (the “sub-optimisation problem”).
Fusion™ is a web-based Business Simulation, where teams compete and collaborate with each other around a simple and exciting set of game rules (based on soccer).
By changing the game rules at the start of a Fusion session (or round) the simulation can become totally competitive (e.g. to teach competitive strategy), totally collaborative or a combination of both (“Co-opetitive”).
Ken Thompson will play a Fusion game with 4 teams over 45 minutes to illustrate the 3 main types of team behavior – Competitive, Collaborative and Co-opetitive – and their consequences.
